Holistic Lactation Support & Coach
Hello! I’m Christine Carlsen, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and the founder of Lactation Salvation. With over 10 years of professional and personal experience and a deep commitment to holistic care, I specialize in empowering mothers to achieve their breastfeeding goals in a way that feels natural, supported, and uniquely tailored to their needs.
As a mother of three beautiful children, with one more on the way, I know firsthand the incredible joys and challenges of motherhood. My journey has been one of discovery, growth, and an unwavering passion for supporting other moms. Through Lactation Salvation, I offer a range of services designed to help you navigate your breastfeeding journey with confidence. Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival, experiencing difficulties in the early days, or seeking guidance as your child grows, I’m here to provide expert advice and compassionate support every step of the way.
What sets my approach apart is my holistic perspective—I believe that breastfeeding is more than just a physical act; it’s a profound connection between mother and child that deserves to be nurtured with care. I integrate natural practices, emotional support, and evidence-based techniques to create a breastfeeding plan that works for you and your baby.
But it’s not just about the technical aspects. I’m deeply committed to building a supportive community where mothers feel seen, heard, and valued. My clients often say that working with me has been a transformative experience, giving them the tools and confidence they needed to succeed.
When I’m not helping moms and babies, you’ll likely find me immersed in nature. Whether it’s hiking through the woods, meditating by a stream, or enjoying a campfire with my family, I find inspiration and grounding in the natural world—a sense of peace and balance that I bring into my practice.
I invite you to explore how Lactation Salvation can support you on your breastfeeding journey. Together, we can create a plan that honors your unique needs and helps you build a strong, loving bond with your baby.
Let’s connect and take the first step toward the breastfeeding experience you and your baby deserve.
Testimony:
Hello, my name is Christine Carlsen, and I’m an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). As someone who is deeply passionate about holistic care and supporting families through their breastfeeding journeys, I believe it’s important to share not just my professional story, but also my personal journey of faith. This is my testimony.
My childhood wasn’t always easy. I grew up hearing that I needed to look out for myself because no one else would. This mindset led me down a path of bad habits, including a serious drinking problem and involvement in abusive relationships. I didn’t have a high opinion of myself, and life felt like a constant struggle.
Then I met my husband, who I believe God had planned for me all along. We fell in love, traveled the country in our VW bus, got sober together, and started building what I thought was a pretty good life. We had our beautiful children, and everything seemed to be falling into place. But even with all of that, something still felt missing.
It wasn’t until the passing of both of my in-laws that my husband and I started to realize just how deep that emptiness went. We began to think about exploring religion, and though we were both skeptical, we were open to finding more. Around that time, we met some friends who could see we were searching, and they invited us to join their church. I was hesitant and felt awkward at first, but we continued to go.
When my aunt passed away, I was heartbroken and confused. I thought about skipping church that week, but something inside me pushed me to go. During the service, I couldn’t hold it together and ended up crying in the bathroom. A dear friend from church followed me, prayed over me, and stayed with me through my tears. Her kindness and the palpable sense of God’s love in that moment moved me in a way I had never experienced before.
The next day, I decided to get baptized. The experience was profound—I felt God’s presence and love so powerfully that it changed my life. My husband and I were baptized together that same night, and we haven’t looked back since.
Now, we’re deeply involved in our church, participating in events and building beautiful, lifelong friendships. We follow the path of Jesus and strive to live our lives in His image. We feel incredibly blessed with our three beautiful children and another on the way.
Living in Northeastern Pennsylvania has been an amazing experience for our family. It’s allowed us to dive deeper into our spirituality and truly feel the love and guidance of God in our lives. We’re so thankful for this journey and the ways in which God has been so good to us.
