Faun Gilchrist – Doula

As a Certified Birth and Perinatal Doula, Faun provides support to women during the prenatal and postpartum periods and offers both individual and group virtual sessions. Faun is a committed Christ-centered doula with a background in perinatal mental health and undergraduate studies in psychology. 

Faun is passionate about learning and providing emotional/spiritual support and sound, ethical-based knowledge. She obtained certification as a birth doula in 2010 and in 2019 trained to become a postpartum doula, and in 2023 Faun was certified as a perinatal doula. As she has advanced in her career, she has built upon a foundation of learning that is focused on the value of women as mothers and caregivers. Her experiences working with birthing women have enabled her to foster a deep respect for the power of the body to create and nurture life. Her desire is that every woman embrace their intrinsic value as mothers and have access to highly skilled and caring support during all seasons of motherhood.  

Faun encourages and supports her clients and works toward the goal of empowerment and discovering the unique strengths that women and mothers embody. She understands the value of connecting individually and collectively as a group, depending on the needs of her clients, and engages in both formats during her work.
